Our son was in a fatal motorcycle accident at the age of 38. We were not prepared to decide on organ donation, but when we learned that our son wanted to be an organ donor, we absolutely said “yes.” The silver lining was to know he saved numerous lives, and we were lucky enough to meet his heart recipient. Knowing that our son‘s heart continues to beat on helps ease the pain of losing our only child. Adam, you will be forever be etched in our hearts.
