Wayne Edens

Organ Donor

August 19, 2025

Wayne and I met through a mutual friend and were inseparable since that day. After a year we got married and started our little family. We both had one child from previous marriages, so yes, we started over at ages 37 and 49. Together, we have three children: Taylorm (13), Taryn (11), and Jesse (9).

Wayne was a hero to his kids. He made sure he spent quality time with each of them and made them feel extra special. Although he had to depart from us early, he forever lives on through his three little ones. His children are the ones who chose to donate his organs. It was the greatest decision the three of them made. They felt like their Dad would’ve wanted to help save others.
He most certainly would have!

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank Sierra Donor Services for the kindness and compassion they showed our family during our mourning and grieving process. I would also like to encourage those who may be undecided to consider becoming a donor. It’s a beautiful way for your loved one to give life and hope to another family facing tragedy. It’s the ultimate act of human kindness. Blessings to you all.
