Cy Palmer

Eye and Tissue Donor

/

November 15, 2017

My son, Cy Palmer, tragically passed in a car accident on November 15, 2017, at the age of 7 years old. He was so full of love and light! We lived in a smaller town and somehow everyone knew who he was – probably because he was so outgoing, kind, and loving! He never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He enjoyed playing sports, especially football and baseball, and dreamed of playing for the Dallas Cowboys one day. Cy was the funniest little guy I ever knew. There was never a dull moment with him. He had a special way to make everyone around him feel loved and could make anyone laugh. Even though he was only 7, he left a huge impact on many people in our community. His legaCy lives on in those who knew and loved him and also in the lives he touched through donation. Cy donated both corneas of his eyes, as well as his pulmonary and aortic heart valves. I am blessed to call him mine, to have raised and loved him earth side, and I’m forever proud of the person he was and the way his story still impacts others.

Fly high Cy.
